Morning Light Photo

Photographer’s Note

Taken about an hours drive outside of Axum headed towards Mekele, Ethiopia.

A fine morning and no better place to be than in Ethiopia. Before arriving in Ethiopia, I had a picture of desert, scenes of famine and a bleak landscape. After spending almost a month there I have a picture of grand landscapes, fantastic people and one of, if not my favorite, country I have ever visited.

Indeed this is a grand landscape !
The different ranges of hills and mountains with the trees on the top and the clouds (fog)in between are shown very well here.
The morning light is fantastic.

Hey John,
Wow, impressive landscape, really! I like the pink tones in your picture and expecially the different layers that bring a good sense of depth. The slight mist is a definite plus. On the downside, I think it would have been better to leave some more 'breathing' space at the top. Still..well done!

Indeed this is a superb landscape with excellent shot moment! The different ranges of hills and level parallel of mountains given a depth and a composition very nice and ideal with the trees on the top and the clouds the colours are very good and view is very perfect bravo

Fantastic lighting here, beautiful colours, and just a great mood. I think you captured it well here. The mountains are really impressive.
