An oldie from the Harar series. Didn't look at them for a long time, but found this one today. Anyway, Harar in the very early morning. The guy in the middle was wearing a long cloth which he tossed around him while mumbling angrily, as if fighting and arguing with someone. Here he is caught in a quiet moment...

Hello Nana,

Een gigantisch mooie opname: zo'n prachtig tegenlicht en die mensen net op de juiste plaats.
Ook de ietwat in de schaduw verscholen personen aan de overzijde van de straat hebben hun functie in deze opname.
Voor mijn part: een kustwerkje!

I was waiting for a new post...and I am not disappointed! magnificent morning light you captured, with some dust to give it all a mysterious magical and earthy feeling. You put us right there in this simple street, to see people about doing their work. The woman and the man in the fg are of great beauty, both in their attitude (she seems shy and kind of hiding) and he probably in some psychical troube as you explain, and because in silhouette against the light. A marvellous shot to me, full of emotion and so human and true, compliments Nana!

Beautiful and strange atmosphere with this excitement of the women who clean in front of their house and these 2 silhouettes with the shadows which seem to belong to another world.
I also like the dust which flies in the beam of the sun.
Bravo, it is really very well thought and realized.

hi nana,
looks lonely out there but the capture is astonishing! that misty morning look coupled with the early activities of the people around give the viewers a feel of how life goes on here. the shadows add the mystical feel.

Hi Nana,

I don't think i have seen a picture with this feel of ambiguity. There is something about the soft light, the dark figures and how they are positioned. Maybe a bit surreal?

very interesting and beautiful image. people in the background are very nice put, they are creating they own cloud of dust.hahaha. The strange dressed personage (woman ?) and the guy in the right side are fabulously put in the scene. You used very nice the space and the light and shadows. really wonderful. We can feel what that place is.

WOOWWWWW...

Your note of the veiled person angrily mumbling adds to the visual thinking this beautiful picture evokes...the dust from the brooms stick,the drug shop, the pose of the guy in the foreground are perfect props to this photograph.
