Photographer's Note
This is a back alleyway in Harar. I was inspired by many of Nygus' shots when taking photos of Harar.
This city is wonderful just to get lost in its small streets and watch people do their normal things.

Hi Daniel,
Nice picture with this wall and the door leading the eye to the persons.
Great colors too !

Beautifully proportioned shot Daniel _ I like very much the pre-eminence of the surface detail and all of the rich textures within the image - the natural lighting is good too - without feeling the need to push the image into punchier dimensions - nicely timed for the figures too.
best wishes Kev

Bonsoir Daniel,
Amicalement,
Stéphanie.

Salut Daniel,
nice old buildings. I like the perspective you have chosen to emphasize how these persons are leaving the scenery.
Nice image,

hi daniel,
the division of the image into 2/3 of the fancy wall (its a history itself that wall) and the "live" scene was a very smart idea;
superb exposure handling,
good work,

Very nice - colours are different from nygus, but the composition is very much in his style.

Hara....Rimbaud was there for a while selling guns, maybe worse. France's greatest poeter, gone bad... Beautiful, haunting scene here enhganced by your very clever POV.
Nice one, Daniel!

Hi Daniel,
Love the earthy colour and textures! Great composition and POV. The two people leaving add interest as well. TFS :-)

Nice work, very strong and deep composition. The people seem particularly small due to the prominence of the near wall, fitting with the heavy mood of this shot. i also like how the people are the darkest object in the frame juxtaposed against the lightest object in the frame, providing contrast to emphasize them.
Thanks!

Hi Daniel, this image works very, very well. I often try to find a counterpoint between tired old buildings and people but it is not so easy in Western Europe (or perhaps it's my limited skills). Here the warm colours of Ethiopia (even on a cloudy day) bring a vitality. I like too how the cables provide a nice, secondary compositional element. Nice work. Stephen

Jean-Yves

Good shot, which is very well composed! The textures of the walls are very interesting to see. I find the inclusion of the people very good as well. Nice work!

Hi Daniel,
A superb perspective, with all the different layers of the building seen with great clarity. The reddish brown street adds another hue to an already rich pallette. The people walking are ideally placed and warm the scene immeasurably. I like the depth here...later.

Hi Daniel,
I love this composition and the very rich exciting colours. The two figures really gave the punch and make this shot alive. Great calculation and technical control. Congratulations!! Have a nice day.

Hola Daniel.
