Photographer’s Note
At Yemrehana Kristos, a church built inside a huge cave in the side of a mountain.
The story goes that the stone for it's construction was brought all the way from Jerusalem. At the back of the cave are the bones of the many thousands of pilgrims who came here to die over the centuries.
These four were very much alive, especially the young chap in yellow - what a smile!

Hi Ben,
superb multiple portraits...the yellow robe really sticks out and provide a good break in the rhythm. Exposure is top-notch as well. Congrats.

What a great portrait of these men! Each one is an interesting subject, but they go together well too! The wall behind them adds a nice touch.

Hello Ben,
This is a first rate photograph of the four pilgrims, evocative of a National Geographic image. The composition, colors and resolution collaborate like the instruments of a fine orchestra. The mustard yellow outfit of the young man adds a strong color highlight to the image.
Well done,
Bulent

Great line-up of characters. I like the contrasting expressions, with the bright yellow one delivering the widest smile!

there is an intriguing harmony in this group portrait, ben!
i love the fact that the two fellows smile, and the other two stay serious... it makes me feel that they created two "independent" groups/tribes.... particularly that the smiling ones wear some colourful stuff while the "stiff" ones stay "whitened"...
best, j.

hello Ben,
what a great quartet! The light is so lovely and wram, showing off the colours so well. I like the smile of the guy in yellow as it makes a good connection and lights up this shot.
An engaging and excellent image.
best regards,
Bev

As close as possible to the classical classic...
Can you imagine this scene without the pipe ( wooden beam) on the back, and the two other dudes ( on each sides) looking into a camera ?
Still - worthy of stopping by and leave a word or two, at any time.
The colors, Ben... THE COLORS !!!
.........................
BTW: Have you seen any fresh water well dug in there - next to the temple built with the stones brought from Jerusalem... Or, a decent quality road... Or, anything that resembles an useful civilization object?
(just my stupid curiosity ...)
