Photographer's Note

Women selling grilled corn in Janjanbureh, one of the main cities of Gambia. There were many sellers and also men singing.
This city, formerly known as Georgetown, is situated in McCarthy Island and it was founded in the 19th century to be a settlement of freed slaves. We stayed there for a night and here, we were waiting for the ferry to take us to the other bank, to follow our journey and visit the famous Stone Circles of Senegambia.
