Photographer’s Note

While in Abraflo, people from another village asked me to visit their village. The "close by/10 minutes away" village was a good 45 minute up hill walk. However, once I arrived, the people gave me the most incredible tour of the agriculture. They showed me all the stages of the cocoa bean process-- from chopping a cocoa plant off a tree to various stands in the village where the beans dry in different phases. (Being a huge chocolate and coffee fan, this was an amazing surprise treat for me to see.) Such amazing hospitality and pride and joy. Here is a photo of both the cocoa beans drying and the laundry drying.

another interesting shot from you. I think that you are really a great traveller, reading your notes and the way you look at people.
I like also this shot, I think it is a pity that you didn't put any person in the frame.

I tried a workshop, to see if it is possible to get it a little sharper and colors more vivid.

Your shot is a good combination with those ethnic clothes that are well presented among dark grey and brown BG with cocoa beans. Unigue pattern fabric in red pattern and dots on white are nice.

one stone, 2 birds here! drying laundry and drying cocoa seeds.
the composition is simple, yet it gives us a bit of idea how the cocoa been is being processed, the non- technological way. TFS, adrienne.
