Hello Patrick,

You have tried hard not to distress critiquers by seeing too much of the death but, we know without prey, the lions would die. A delicate balance of life and death.
Superb details of the lion's face and fur, clearly showing its camourflage capability.
I think, I would have cropped a little from the left for improved composition.

I am intrigued to know how you took this shot.
Have you been on a safari in Kenya? If so, this would have been pretty scary!

Quelle photo !
Le zèbre va passer un sale quart d'heure... Enfin quoique, à la réflexion, il ne craint plus grand chose j'imagine ;o)

Encore une superbe scène animalière, parmi une série vraiment époustouflante. Le téléobjectif t'as permis de saisir son puissant regard : on sent bien qu'il ne faut pas trop l'emmerder ;o)
Les couleurs sont douces et naturelles, la lionne se fond magistralement dans les herbes grillées, et la qualité est comme toujours remarquable.
Un grand bravo.

last night my cat Flip was killing a pigeon and it wasn't a nice sight - so I can imagine what this big cat did with her zebra after you went away ...
it's an amazing shot - only a few elements to tell a whole story. I like the fact that you have minimized the body of the zebra and concentrated on the lioness' eyes.

peut-être avais-tu faim, mais de là à disputer le zèbre au tigre, c'est tout de même un poil dangereux, non ?
heureusement que tu étais caché derrière ton télé...

J'aime beaucoup ton image, et à mon avis, ça tient beaucoup au POV. Les couleurs sont belles, évidemment, et la netteté est superbe, mais c'est l'impression d'être vraiment à la place de la tête du zèbre qui donne tant de force à l'image! Yannis te l'a très bien dit avec humour, je te redis avec toute mon admiration! Félicitations!
