[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
We were wandering around Mzima Springs (the source of water for Mombasa) when I spotted this fellow making eyes at me, so of course I eyed him back. This is a red-headed rock agama lizard, fairly common in sub-Saharan Africa. We grew to be fond of lizards in Kenya, because they kept the insect population down.

Technical: Sizing for TE.

Such a beautiful creature it is !

hi daniel, that's an amazing lizard you captured there. I love the way she/he looks around with a cute attatutide :) 2 thumbs up!

best regards

sue

Excellent shot, Dan!!
The colors are superb and I love the belligerent expression as if you were trespassing on its territory. The details are pin sharp and the cropping and framing are just right. Outstanding DOF, too. Well done!! Thanks and kind regards,
Shelly

Hi Dan,
You say, fairly common in sub-Saharan Africa. OK, but it's really amazing, especially for people like me, who are just used to this.
Good capture of the beautiful colours.

F

Hi Daniel,
In the thumbnail, it looked like the lizard had a hat... :-)
It's a magnificent animal, with unique colours, which stand up much against the black rock and the blurred BG. Getting a clear photo of such an animal would be enough to deserve a praise, but you achieved also a great compo.
TFS, Regards, José.

Very good shot daniel!
Nice colors and good background. The lizard looks so interested in you ;)
Cheers
elitsa
