Photographer’s Note
This is the beginning of a mud stick house. The sticks in the picture are the frame and mud is put around the sticks. A thatch or metal roof is later put on the top. The mud has a lot of clay in it to hold it together and is not very absorbent once dry.
This is the lowest cost house a person can make and is more common in small villages.
