Desert in B&W, a photo from Ghat, West

Photographer's Note

At this time I work to review my desert shots and I perform new post-processing on some of them. Sometimes the difference is not large, but it is an opportunuity to apply what we learnt in between.
No more in Egypt, but in Libya. The quiet of this view is far from what people live in these days.

En ce moment, je suis en train de trier et classer a nouveau mes photos de désert et j en profite parfois pour faire de nouveaux post-traitement pour appliquer ce que j ai pu apprendre dans l intervalle. Le resultat est rarement totalement different, mais souvent un poil plus proche de mes attentes.
C est le cas sur cette vue dont la quietude est bien loin de ce que peut vivre en ce moment les libyiens.

The choice of B&W works well in this shot. Nice composition with the long lines leading towards the rocks, and corresponding lines in the clouds as well. Very nice work! TFS. Have a nice Sunday.

Wow, what a dramatic scene, and b/w treatment really accentuates it. The lines in the sand draw me in to the sharp, detailed rocks and then on to the wonderful sky.

B&W and the vertical format works really well here. The lines in the sanddune are leading to the rockformaton. Sharpness and details are great; good contrast.

ah c'est superbe ça! Quelle netteté, quelle clarté! Les textures du sable sont superbement mises en avant, beaucoup de détails dans les rochers pourtant sombres et des nuages très dynamiques dans le ciel. Bravo M'sieur Sevy!

Outstanding conversion to BW...wonderful contrast...love the leading line pattern in the sand and the clouds too converge to the top of the rock, making it a perfect focal point....amazing shot...love it!

A very beautiful picture of the quiet of the desert. Very reminiscent of the Japanese Zen garden.

Unfortunately, the Libya of today is not all that serene.

Your black and white picture gives certainly a wonderful image middle of the desert.
The long line in the sand lead us very depth to the background.

Une sacrée série dont on ne se lasse, sans doute pour la variété des approches.

Une fois de plus, une version qui vient ponctuer la collection avec un noir et blanc de qualité irréprochable. La composition est magnifique, la netteté à couper le souffle et l'effet de profondeur vraiment remarquable.

Le grand angle livre avec éclat ce pourquoi il a été conçu et est utilisé avec brio.

Ça frappe dans l'dash!

Une photo impressionnante. L'étrange perfection du sable répond aux lignes du ciel, et le principal rocher renforce cette impression de puissance, comme si une énergie avait émané du roc et tracé ces lignes, sur le sol comme dans les airs.

Cette photo est remarquable. J'aime beaucoup le noir et blanc qui met en valeur le graphisme du sable et des rochers. J'espère que les Lybiens verront bientôt la fin de l'épreuve qu'ils vivent en ce moment.

Once again and awe inspiring image, just the sand pattern along is good enough of a photo for me, but the rock is a very good object as an anchor point for our vision. Without it would have made a different kind of composition with a feeling of distance, the rock here stop us and let us linger to appreciate the sand even more. Excellent choice of black and white. One of my favorit.

the BB&W works really well to emphasise the patterns of the sand, and I like a lot that you have chosen vertical frame, it certainly gives more prominence to these patterns. beautiful, especially with the almost similar patterns in the clouds. well seen and presented.

Très belle composition en noir et blanc, avec deux séries d'ondulations qui se répondent, sur terre et dans le ciel. L'amas de roches fait le lien entre les deux.
