Excellent portrait, with very good framing. You really brought 'life' to this photo. Well done Tristan.

Tristan, I like this simple, stark portrait shot. The composition is very effective, with the face of the man so small, it seems, in the frame of the window, and so plaintive. I admire the textures of the timber in this shot, too, although slightly overexposed. It's a good scan from a b/w film shot. I have started to have a look at the other b/w shots in your gallery of Madagascar salt workers.

Ciao Tristan,
I like very much the composition of this photo, with the face in the bottom right hand third (the most important), but I find a little overexposed the wood. I made a very fast WS (sure a better work is possible) to reduce the contrast of the whole image.

Good expression captured and the exposure is correct on the man's face. The man's right eye might look a a bit better closer to the middle, a small thing as you could crop it thusly.
