Photographer’s Note
I went to visit a small rova about 20 km from Tana last week-end. It is one of the twelve sacred hills of Imerina a place called Antsahadinta (the field of leeches).
As I was coming back from my visit I saw this standing stone next to a recent synchretic tomb with a christian cross. The standing stone may mark a grave: the old and new tomb shared the same space looking over rice paddy and the hill on which Antananarivo stands.
