Photographer’s Note
This was taken at the artisan's market in Bamako, Mali. This shot only shows one tiny portion of what was on offer, as they had wood-carved sculptures, furniture, leather goods, and textiles as well. Drums are a popular, if bulky, tourist item. Just make sure you take some lessons on it before you torment all your friends with one!
