Photographer’s Note
In Djenne, as elsewhere in a desert, women spend a lot of time bended to sweep the fronts and interiors of their houses. In the middle of this street is an open sewage which smells accordingly. On the other hand, mud architecture of the houses is organic and beautiful.

ok, quality's not great, but the content is very interesting, seldomly seen, and composition is good too.

Hello Irena,
Nice shot, like the perspective that seems to diminish due to the sand dust in the air. Also like the atmosphere, the 'mud' finish on the architecture as you have mentioned creates an earthy tone to it.

Hello Irena. Clean for the lane with the broom. The photo pleases me very well. It is alive, close-to-reality and worth seeing. Really agood shot. regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Irene
You've taken an interesting photograph from the mysterious country. Everything looks OK according with your Photographer's Note, but there is something bad there (on your picture). I mean about blue tint on it.
It doesn't look like in reality I think :-)
I commited the workshop to your photograph.
I've tried to correct this blue tint.
I used PS CS3 and most of this blue tint dissapered after using AUTO COLOR. Then I did little corections using Levels and Contrast.
I hope you find my version interesting and useful.

Hello Irena.
The open drain is almost medieval. The atmosphere is thick with dust as these women devote their labour to cleanliness. I like this daily life photo from a poor country in Africa, with the women on each side of the drain, and the strong perspective. But I think it is a little dark, and perhaps Mirek is on the right track in lightening it, although I think he added a little too much saturation and contrast in his workshop.
Regards,
Andrew

Irena: excellent image. Constitutionally and compositionally. The photographer here is making a statement while also making an agreeably balanced image - not easy to do with travel photography as you know. best, c
