Photographer's Note

An old men idling in a Togunà, the gathering place of the village's wise man in the Dogon culture. It is usually hard to take pictures of those places, since they are sacred, but sometimes you get permission. we gave the man the much appreciated Cola nuts as gift, without asking anything in return, but he understood we were longing to take a picture and he gave us permission smiling.
Dogon people are among the friendliest I met in my travels: I wish they had the same impression from us, the tourists, but I doubt it...
