Photographer’s Note
I reposted a sharper version of the picture I posted yesterday. Sorry about that.
This young Mauritanian girl is wearing the traditional Melhafa, so called in Hassanya dialect. The Melhafa is made of a single piece of fabric, oftenly very colourful. All women and young girls are wearing it independently from their age, jobs or function and it has nothing to do with any lack of modernity. It is is a very nice scenery to see them, holding it or adjusting it at any time, for conveniency or in order to face the so called Harmattan, one of the local wind.

Hello Geraldine,
Very beautiful portrait and the contrast of the colors of the pink Melhafa("Yemeni" in Turkish).
Her posing is natural and the style of her hair is lovely.
Best wishes and regards

Un joli portrait qui rempli bien l'image, bon cadrage, avec un moment qui était bien choisi.
C'est bien fait,

Geraldine: nice composition and great texture and color. I would crop tighter at the top for the best economy from your frame. Only personal preference. regards, c

Elle est joliment faite cette photo... un poil excentrée, le voile qui tire sur le côté et l'attitude de la gamine...
J'aime beaucoup...
