The island of Mauritius was known to the Arabs and Indonesian sailors from the 10th century. But first settled by the Portuguese in 1507, who founded it in one supply base, but a permanent oikismo.Stis September 17, 1598, three ships from one Dutch fleet bound for the islands of spices resulted in Mauritius following a hurricane. In 1715, the French, who occupied the neighboring island of Bourbon (now Réunion), took over Mauritius and renamed it Ile-de-France (ie the island of France). With the French rule, the island developed a robust economy based on sugar production. During the Napoleonic Wars (1803 - 1815), the island became a target of the British, who tried to understand it. Despite the victory of the French at the Battle of Grand Port, the only French naval victory over the British fleet, the French surrendered Mauritius three years later after a landing site in the British Cup Mahler. The formal surrender of the island to the British crown was in 1810 with the condition of conservation of property rights and land property for French settlers, but also the maintenance of the French language and law in civil and criminal matters. With the British rule, the island's name reverted to Mauritius.

Καλημερα Μαρια,
μια πολυ ομορφη και απολαυστικη εικονα που περιλαμβανει πολλα απο τα χαρακτηριστικα του εξωτικου αυτου παραδεισου. Μου αρεσει παρα πολυ το βαθος και η αισθηση του χωρου, οι λεπτομερειες στο πρωτο πλανο και τα συναρπαστικα συννεφα στον ουρανο. Εχεις διαχειριστει επιδεξεια το φως και τις αντιθεσεις και απεδωσες θαυμασια μεσα απο τα χρωματα τη ζεστασια του φωτος και της αμμου αλλα και τη δροσια του νερου. Συγχαρητηρια και ευχαριστω!

Quelle belle plage. Le sable très blanc est superbe et vient en contraste avec le superbe bleu du ciel. Les bateaux apportent une petite touche humaine à l'ensemble.

Picture has an great compsotion and POV: I like
the "diagonal" line on the stones on the forground
that creates a nice depth and the open space makes
the picture nice calmness. The great ligth

I colori dell'Isola di Mauritius sono stupendi e te ne hai preso i più belli per metterli in rete in questa ed in altre foto.
In questa mi piace in maniera particolare il mare che si fonde nell'azzurro del cielo con i suoi colori incantati per le rocce nere che spezzano il bianco della spiaggia incantata ricca di sole e di vegetazione.
Bella la composizione in diagonale sia per disegno che per disposizione di colori.
Ricche di notizie le note a corredo della foto.
