Photographer’s Note
The south of Mauritius has some very wild sea with spectacular waves crashing on cliffs or reefs relatively close to shore. This is Gris Gris a couple of kilometers from Souillac with cliffs encasing a 500 meter beach that is full of shells and has coarse sand. The reefs are only some fifty to sixty yards from the beach and the sea spray is constantly causing a mist. Lenses become salty quickly there! This is not a restful beach but a beautiful spot!
