indeed a radical difference compared to the summer scenery of the place which i remember...however it is both interesting and important to see the world as it looks in reality, and november is a "poor" reality for this place, as we can see...

Excellent use of diminishing linear perspective, in the form of the dirt road along the esplanade, with the solitary person well positioned on the vanishing point. Tfs!

And this part of the story - very moving indeed. Loneliness means depression... Who in these ages would choose pavement for walking instead of exciting wall top?
Love the dog to the left - like to think it to be a boys' friend (in general) and adds a touch of hope to the scene.

le cadrage avec ce ciel chargé accentue ce sentiment, on voit d'abord cet homme, la perspective du chemin guidant l'oeil à lui, puis en scruttant la photo on voit ce chien, chacun est seul dans son coin... snif :'(

Chère Catherine,
tous les sentiments que tu énumères font partie de la vie de tout un chacun et la pluie et le temps couvert aussi. J'aime beaucoup que tu nous le montres tel que c'est. Tel que c'est venu à toi sur ce chemin. Belle composition qui nous met en spectateurs proches, je croyais que le chien avait envie de compagnie, c'est souvent le cas, mais vu ta réponse à Lousat, peut-être pas...quant au garçon, le mystère reste.
Belle tranche de vie et le rendu des couleurs et de la lumière me semble tout bon.

j'aime bien l'ambiance un peu melancolique qui se degage de cette photo, la rue deserte, le jeune seul et le ciel renforce cette impression.

Salut Cath,
Il est intéressant comme la présence du gamin et du chien renforcent l'atmosphère de désolation et abandon, qui est aussi produite par l'antiquité des remparts et les temps gris. Le cadrage est superbe, donnant une bonne profondeur.
La lumière est très bien aussi.

Hi Catherine. Missed your "Loneliness" as I was away to Kolkata! Putting a dog in one corner along with a walking man on the 'less frequented' road went off well. Well composed. In fact, language has created the word "loneliness" to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word "solitude" to express the glory of being alone. Thanks for sharing. Regards.

Hi Cath,

Interesting perspective of that lone guy in the long rain. I liked the sky very much, even though its not blue. I loved the depth of the clouds and foam like shape. I also loved the mood of the picture.

J'ai un souvenir aussi triste et gris de Jadida que ce que je vois là... Je me dis que cela doit toujours être comme ça !? Ah si, il manque quelque chose. L'humidité incroyable de l'endroit !!! Brrrr.
