Photographer’s Note
Life in the medina (old city) : a largish street where no cars are allowed, lots of pedestrians that time of the day...
Not satisfied with the facades in the far, the lower part was actually rather dark end of afternoon in November and the sun had finally arrived after the rain, reverberating on the white facades at the top ; your advice would be welcome !
- Same street, same kids an instant earlier and
- A nearby street a bit earlier with 2 other lovely schoolgirls :
Maybe you prefer one of those photos ?

Happy New Year, Catherine. Hope you had an enjoyable X'mas.
Good daily life capture ... just wondering what prompted them to look back at you. Nice natural colors and contrast. As to the over exposure at the top, the 'gradient tool' in PhotoShop can fix this problem. What it can do is to retain the lower half exposure of the photo intact while creating a filter to reduce the over exposure at the top. Anyway, this is still a good photo. Well done! tfs and have a nice weekend.
Cheers,
Renier

Salut Catherine
A superb daily life & streetscene from Morocco. I like the backward glance of the boy & girl; & the hijabbed mother, craning her neck to ensure nothing untoward is happening. Tfs!

Hey Catherine!
Quite a crowded composition, its very lively, and I`m guessing representative of Morocco. Great sharpness too. Overall a great daily life shot. A vidid one, almost claustrophobic.
Enjoy

Hello Catherine,
I notice how several of them have observed the photographer and follow the action closely!
Picturesque scenery, captured with many interesting details...
Well balanced composition with a fine feeling of depth!

Bon weekend

Merhaba dear Cath,
This one is also great; very nice pov. Showing almost every "moods" of a downtown street in Marocco.
Old but happy; and still a part of the modern world.
TFS and have a nice weekend

Going forward, looking backward -- this is what I found interesting in respect of the two kids in this shot. The girl with some of her teeth missing is in a laughing mode, while the boy little ahead is having a questionable look. The woman with her tilted head presumably looking for her child walking slowly behind is a very common sight of escorting mothers. Your shots as always provide lot of details worth seeing. Thanks Catherine for sharing such shots on daily life.Regards.

bonjour catherine

Salut Catherine
On s'y croirait presque!
Amicalement

Ciao my friend!
I like to see so many people walking, just an everyday scene! and a man sitting, a beggar.
Here I notice that each lady wears the foulard or chador on her head, I thought that in Marocco they were not so religious!
Ciao Cat, have a great Sunday!

Never enough of this jewels for me…
The imagination works…
My imagination – that is…
For it’s me – there…
I make the people turn their heads and smile (or not !!!) for my camera.
I yell. I whistle, I shout ‘hey' !!! and usually - it works…
That glimpse in the people’s eyes…
Their acceptance of me… Either in front of their faces or behind…
And I see you… In there… Walking with your camera – behind them…
You’re much, much to good of a photographer to accept the situation of shooting people behind their back… !!
(much less - posting these kind of photos)
And why would you do that…?
Million of pictures have been shot behind people’s back (A half of them are on TE - collecting well deserved green macaques for their outstanding photographic values (???) …
You just made them turning around…
And just because of that – my deep bow, dear Cath...
My deepest bow…
…………….

Encore moi...
