Hello Mark,
Another splendid black and white composition. The couple are nicely placed in the frame vis-a-vis the theatre and I like how the man is pointing towards the shadow of the tree. The tilt on the theatre adds much to the atmosphere and mood of the image. Could be something out of an early Orson Wells or Hitchcock film.
Hey Mark,
First of all, I would like to thank you for a comment you left in my gallery. I rarely get such an opinion, one which is hones and from the bottom of one's heart. Thank you... I visited you gallery before and I must say I am amazed by the quality of your recent work. What comes out of your EOS 1D Mark II, especially along with that 35 mm lens is something breathtaking and astonishing. I really envy you. Some people say that camera is only a mean to achieve a success, a medium and that photographer takes pictures. I agree... however, I think that a good camera that doesn't hinder you, doesn't annoy you is a great way to concentrate on creativity, without worrying about colours, development and all this time-consuming stuff too much. My D200 is unfortunately like an old spinster... trixy and flighty... sometimes I just give up when it comes to correcting pictures after shooting them in RAW.
Anyway... I am really amazed by your recent work. I went through you gallery and I observed how you try to find yourself, your style. And in last 10-15 photographs this style starts to appear more clearly. I think you found your way of development, colours, framing... That's great. But please remember not to stick only to this style... it'll get really boring with time.
Amaze us, Mark. Amaze us with your wonderful photos.
And believe me, I'll be a frequent guest here. I might even turn on point systems, just to give you a green smile every single day you post a good photo. You're right... there's something like "points to greens ratio" here on TE. People with thousands of points tend to receive more greens. But don't care for points, man. Care only for your photos, learning and teaching. And I've learned a lot from your photographs.
Best
Pawel
Hi MArk
Nice capture in B&W, the tilt works I think. giving some dynamism, rather than a straight tourist shot. Looks like the guy has caught a very little man!
hello Mark,
I like the strong contrast here, you can almost feel the heat coming out of the photo , mmmmmm :))
the little tilt makes it very nice.
greetings, inn

HI MArk, intersting example of architecture, with great human element on the left side..
The image is well balanced by the trees and the couple..
well done!
ciao!
