Photographer’s Note

Shot was made in one of thousands of restaurants around Jamma El Fna square in Marrakech. I was attracted by the shape of the lamp and the shadows it cast on the wall. It was very tricky image to take, as there was no way I could use my tripod (not really handy in a restaurant), so I had to opt for hand holding the camera, something I hate to do. I had to crank up the ISO setting up to 1600 to get decent shutter speed. The image is still soft though, event if it was sharpened and noise removed. But to be honest, I like it the way it is, looking a bit “dreamy”…

Juraj,
You have a great image here in that the light and texture and shape make you ask questions about the image. Where does the door go. It is obscured, and it doesn't matter, but it still begs the question. Do the shapes in the slits on the light have meaning, they are sure interesting to view.
