Waiting For The Bus Photo

Photographer’s Note

Our last longer stop on our Morocco trip was Marrakech, the fourth biggest city of the country (after Casablanca, Rabat and Fès). It was completely distinct from the desert and the high atlas, but I also liked it a lot. On our first day I already got up early to take some daily life pictures. My favorite place to take such photos was the bus stop in the centre of the city. Many local people were hanging around or waiting for the bus there. And that´s what you can see on the picture.

Hello Jonas,
I like it. No wonder you wanted to go to this place, considering the attractive colours and the clean wall providing such an excellent background. Nice texture of the wall and the red and white pavement. If anything, I would have enjoyed to get even closer to the people. Maybe a small part of the picture could have been cropped out, but I'm really not sure.
Good photo in any case.

The long shadow of the lamp is a very strong feature in your composition and its placement at the left works well. Your crop was also a good idea to emphasise the length of the queue. Funny how the westerner stands out from the local people. Well done

Beaucoup de murs à Marrakech, mais il faut encore savoir choisir lorqu'il est bien décoré, soit par des personnages et /ou des belles ombres .
Bien représentatif des trottoirs de cette ville.

Hallo Jonas,
A classic scene, but everytime it works evry good. The crop is excellent, but what i like best that all people look different in the clothings they are wearing. That dark shadow on the wall gives a nice extra to it...like this a lot.

Very good capture, Jonas--the warm color and the texture of the wall, the shadow of the street-lamp, people in different positions. Maybe the white and red border is a little too much--the photo has already enough points of interest and, as you maybe know already, less is more. Anyway, very well seen.

Hi Jonas,
great photo. You capture the feeling of waiting perfectly and the colors are intense. The shadow is wonderful but I especially like the contrast between the white-clad conservative and the young man in jeans and cap. Great composition.

Interesting situation, I notice most of them are looking to the same side in hope of spotting the bus!

you have captured very well the people waiting for the bus in front of red wall. The shadow of streetlight and pattern of red and white also makes this shot better.

Great daily life photo depicting the local color and atmostphere. It's Very well captured. I like the play of the shadows of the people and of the light post on the brick red wall. Very good detail and sharpness, I like the cropping that makes the coposition very interesting. The anticipation of the arrival of the bus show very well here. Great job. I really enjoyed it.

The strong light gives interesting shades to this picturesque scene. This pavement coloured attracts the eye irremediably. Panoramic framing is a wise choice here. It is a good glance Jonas, cheer.

Der Schatten der Lampe ist der Eyecatcher. Interessant ist auch das Format. Man spekuliert etwas, was wohl noch rechts oder links zu sehen sei. Sehr gute Komposition

A very strong compo., in which the large shadow of the lamp is perhaps the strongest feature. Like the crop you've done into a pano format, which emphasises the queue. Against the backdrop of red wall, the subjects & the shadows stand out. Good work!

A new dimension for this quite famous place at TE. I saw several shots of the same wall with people walking along it with a long shadow of the lamp on the wall. The inclusion of the red-white stripe and all the people waiting in line is a great add, something novel and very good!

Olá Jonas, I took the chance to discover your wonderful collection from Marocco. This one is a pleasure to look at, while observing the diferent poses and clothes, some more relaxed and modern, others in a strange position, like the two women. Everything under the watch of that big shadow's lampost. Good crop in a nice panoramic format.
