Street in Mellah Photo

Photographer’s Note

Mellah is an old Jewish quarter in Marakesh (and other cities too). Streets there are even narrower then in Medinas (old cities). It was almost unbelievable to find empty street (ok - almost empty)- usually they are crowded with people, donkeys, carts, mopeds etc.

Bonsoir Wojciech,

J'aime ce quartier du Mellah à Marrakech.
C'est un quartier pauvre et populaire mais plein de vie.
Il y existe encore une vieille et superbe synagogue que je pense aller photographier lors d'un prochain passage.

However shot is really great showing the real outskirts of the Marrakech, far from the places for tourists it is little sad at the same time... I think it is not quite happy childhood living there...
