Into the labyrinthine......
A typical quaint narrow arched cobblestone alley lurked deep inside Fes old medina, sometimes dark and dirty, sometimes lively and full of character where I had often lost my bearings among the tangle of vendors - traders of all sorts. I was very much intrigued by the architecture in decay and a sign of the times, although the dilapidation of the building was far advanced but there is a certain charm I loved to register. The fast moving man was going about his daily chores on which I could not recall from my photo diary, what he was carrying on his head!
Scanned from a slide film with a tweak to the contrast, colour balance and saturation.

Looks the guy was carrying a plate with a ready to serve meal, or a sort of. His fast motion is in contrast to the labyrinth of the Casba alleys.
Well scanned old stuff.

The movement of the person gives an extra touch to your picture.
You choose a very nice angle this creates depth and perspective.
Wonderful captured, also nice presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

this decisive moment is attractive and interesting, it seems to belong to the finest tradition of spontaneous and timeless daily life captures. I like very much the movement and moody colours, the textures show that this place has been lived in for a very long time and scenes like this have been repeated over over. I also like how the perspective of the dark passage catches our interest and enriches the context. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

Here you tried the opposite to panning by letting the man pan himself. You make him look very busy with his blur. He also adds some colours to the rather dirty looking street and the faded paint of the wall. It's an interesting glimpse from the old part of Fes.

Definitely a superb composition with textures of the old walls and the curious cobbled pavement, an image that says timelessness of the place.
Very effective, colorful, highlighting the details of the image.
Good management of both the brightness and sharpness.
Very well done.
Enjoy the weekend.
Best wishes for you.

Morocco is always in my heart, and it's nice to watch a pic from there,15 years ago but seems made today, nothing is changed in the medina of the old towns.Great moving effect made by the long time of exposure on the child walking and fantastic colors too.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hi dear Abmdsudi YTH
Wow another so tasteful and artstic image from you!
Slow shutter speed setting makes this dramatic image of comparison sharpness and blur. Isramic characters on the top are very good accent.
All the best and have a good Sun.! Takero

this is a special photo of the movement, the effect is a lot of dynamics, great details of the walls and blurred silhouette of this person

It's obvious: he's carrying a blue turkey! It certainly must have been quite dark, as your lens was wide open. Mind you, slow film must have dictated your shutter speed: no altering the ISO setting with film unless you were prepared to push the development really hard. And Kodakchrome had to be sent away, and not many labs were prepared to deal with special development requests. I'm guessing the shutter speed was around 1/30 or 1/15 sec. I like the blurred effect: it insists on the man's speed of movement, and perhaps also registers your feelings of slight disorientation. Nice one.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. On sent que la personne veut rapidement se mettre à l'abri. Un très beau flou de mouvement avec de belles couleurs.

Somehow I like the effect of the blurry person against this deteriorating building especially the red pants. At first I thought maybe too much rain caused the sorry condition of this building but does it rain much in Morocco? If this was in the tropics too water is bad for this style of construction. I like the mood created by the lighting especially the dark passage--scary. Good details. Well done, tfs.

This is such a typical moroccon scene with the cobbled stone, the low archway leading of the main street and the old house. The passing child, nicely blurred due to his fast motion, brings a good touch of life to the scene and rounds it up perfectly.
have a great time

I like the moving man. the path looks like that it is a hilly area and descending to other place. Colours of the picture are attractive. Honestly saying this is certainly not your best picture.

Une scène de mouvement, très dynamique de la personne le rendant flou, bon rendu des couleurs et la texture

gosto dessas construções rústicas também, e nessa foto gostei da textura da parede e da criança passando rápido. Belo trabalho.
Parabéns e Abraço,

Quite agree with the note about the place, it looks a dreary place plenty of character, as well
Good work capturing textures of walls and cobblestones and the vendor presence add the touch of color in a good way
Well done, kind regards

This appeals to me very much with the out of focus person running through the picture. It is mysterious and intriguing. The red trousers add important colour. A good scan from 15 years ago - TFS.
Kind Regards, Ann

Aha, that's how motion blur looks on film. Back in my film days, I would not dare experiment, thinking it a waste of limited resources. Of course, nothing ventured, nothing gained! This is a lovely image, I'm glad you experimented.
