[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Picture taken in the Saharan dunes of Erg Chebbi, near Merzouga. It's a very easy place to get and very popular among tourists. From Erfoud it's about an hour by landrover.

This shot was taken 15 min before sunset and i was lucky that a local man passed by for perfect detail in the landscape. Even his long shadow is visable in the sand.

Any comment is more than welcome..!!!

Great sandy scennery!
I like the shadows caused by late afternoon's light.
That's good you included here the walking person in the corner - thanks to that the scene is alive. The person is correctly placed in the righ corner - it seems he/she has a long way to walk.
Great colours
Take care
Henryk

Beautiful shot!
Nice title!
Good luck

Hi Henk,
This is a truly beautiful photograph. Perfect lighting and texture and the colours could not work any better. If the man was wearing anything but sky blue the shot would not work as well. Just fantastic.

Paul

like the endlessness it projects but not too fond of the bordering though ..

The small person in midst of the vast dessert looks great. Nixe textures and color. I would just change the color of the frame to black. Regards, Yvonne

Amazing colors Henk. I will be there in 33 days and this photo now prolongs my wait as my anticipation grows. Thanks for the great shot.
Cheers

Pretty neat job, Henk.
You got it all right: light, textures, colours, ... The blue silhouette acts as a fantastic signature of the picture.
I do not like - at all - tough the added framing and and the location printed on the bottom right side.
Your picture is wonderful, you should keep it as simple, pure, and perfect as it is.
Congratulations for a great shot, --amz

Wow, incredible shot and place. You got marvellous colors here. The human dressed in blue paasing by this empty place makes the scene simply amazing. Well done.

Very beautiful photo, Henk!I like this smal blue man in the midle of desert. Very good light. Its the sky veritably necessary?

You captured the colour and shading of the sand dunes beautifully. Altogether, the lone traveller and the contrasting colours of her clothes make this an excellent photo. Qudos!

Hi Henk
Lovely colours and composition. Wonderful light textures. Really, really nice shot.

Henk, this photo truly deserves all the attention it already got. Merzouga is a great place for photography for its stunning dunes as well as local people wearing that beautifully blue dress that so well contrast with color of sand. Being on TE and posting some desert photos myself has taught me that we all want to dream of distant and exotic place. Desert in particular evokes greatly our imagination. Escellent work. L.

Wow - i just love desert photoes and this one with the figure is great!
Regards Colin

Nice picture. It explain better the essence of desert: endless

Great capture, the man walking give a useful scale here.

Lovely comp. The human is placed very well in your frame and adds just a small dash to an otehrwise brown image. It also tell us how alone he is in the whole vast desert. Excellent!!

Hoi Henk
Deze is absoluut mijn favoriet;de sfeer, de kleuren , de compo en POV zijn perfect.Die ene vrouw in het blauw is een prachtig detail in de ruimte.

< groetjes Albrecht >

Wonderful shot, well framed. Beautiful colors, curves, light and sharpness. The man in the right corner gives the final touch to this artistic composition.
Congratulations,
Corinne

Hi Henk,

Looking at you latest upload from the Sahara brought me to this one which I think is your best from the desert. Those sand waves look smooth as silk and I think you couldn't me more lucky than to have this man dressed in blue walking into your image....such a good contrast. So good.

:) Tina

I like the sand waves.

une autre merveille... seul dans l'immensité.
Très beau !

hallo henk, werkelijk wonderbaarlijk mooie kleuren en zachte schaduw. geweldig! tfs arnoud

Hi Henk,

This is a wonderful image. You waited for the right light and just as you are ready to shoot in comes the person in a fantastic blue costume. As the saying goes, the more one shoots the luckier one gets.

Beau travail.

;o),
sand-'scapes' are fascinating, indeed. just think, what any other 'soil' (or alike) doesn't keep trace of your steps? water? but that's no soil ... you walk but the wind makes sure there's nothing left in the end, no sign of you passing by, no sign that you were ever there - just in your head ... and since we're lucky also in front of our eyes.
maybe if you have waited a little more you would have met "The Little Prince" too ... who knows ;o) (... or was that in another desert?)
beautiful shapes of sand or maybe caramel cream? ;o) - i'm sure it's just a matter of perception - beautiful light ... impressive sight.
dora

Hello, Henk

Beautiful composition, clasic for this environment. I may determine some differences with the Tunisian desert photo of mine - more vegetation, lower elevation of the dunes, and absence of local people due to the remoteness of the place. What is your oppinion on comparision?

Regards,

Asparuh

Hi Henk, This is a beautifull composition full of the colors of Sahara. The placement of the model is perfect. I like this picture
