I've just re-posted this shot at a larger size.
A typical blue street in the medina of Chefchaouen in the Rif mountains in the north of Morocco. The town is built on the slopes of a mountain overlooked by two soaring peaks. It's original name "Chaouen" means peaks, and the newer name "Chefchaouen" means look at the peaks.

What a lovely shot.

The white and blue makes the city look so quiet and peaceful, doesn't it?

I wanted to go there, too, when I went to Morocco but did not manage with the short time I had.

I really like this picture, the soft blue tones of the medina. I think I absolutely have to come back to Morocco to visit this city and have some nice pictures too.

Hi Declan
Good shot of the famous blue streets of Chefchaouen. In Southern Portugal there are also blue bands on the houses, but smaller than here.
