Para ser franco, prefiro muito mais a foto do WS. Esta, além dum arenito erodido, não tem assim mais nada. Desculpa lá a franqueza mas, acho que inverteste as fotos.

Hi Jose,
Although this shot has some nice textures and interesting play with light and shadow, I do agree with Antonio that the one in the workshop is far more interesting. I have always wanted to go to Morocco so the one in the workshop also gives me a nice idea of the landscape.

Olá José,
I like this one as it is a good detail view on that red rocks and the structure and texture are really good visible. What I miss here is something for scale (even a shoe, a mobile or anything like this would help). The exposure is very well balanced.

Hello José,

I find this an extremely interesting photo. In this sun parched land, these rocks appear to have iron in them. They appear to be very hard, yet the soil appears to be pulverized rocks of similar composition. If you had cropped off the green bush on the upper right, you could have submitted as a shot a "Rover Vehicle" of the surface of Mars.

don´t stop posting these photos! They are very interesting and informative IMO!

I like the play of light and shadow as well as the different textures and colors of the stones. And it´s amazing to see that there are plants which survive in this dry area!

The harsh light with the strong light/shade contrast is a good feature of this. In views we try to avoid it but here it works well to add interest and texture. The details of the scrub plants are another element of interest. I think it's the kind of shot that would work well blown up huge for a bare wall.

Olá José,

Estive olhando mais uma vez suas fotos do Marrocos, que são muito boas. Esta imagem mostra com detalhes a erosão do solo. Eu gosto destas formas esculpidas pela natureza e pela ação humana também. Concordo com a Kath, excelente trabalho com a luz e sombras, grande nitidez.

Oi amigo estas formaçoes rochosas desgatadas pelos agentes da natureza são muito interessantes .Gostei do jogo de luzes .
Tambem gostei muito do Ws e uma bela paisagem de Marrocos .

Concordo com o comentário do Antônio, a foto do workshop ficou melhor, mas essa é interessante também, essas pedras parecem cabeças de ETS (igual aquele filme Alien!) hehe

I believe that critiques at TE have to do with honesty, or at least it should, and not with point collection, although we quite often get to generous and do not want to hurt anyone's feelings. TE is about learning about the world through photography. Certain shots have more the element of learning about the world and others more about photography and some finally are able to combine both elements. Latter are the best shots, in my humble opinion. Some TE members really work hard to combine it and I know that you're one of those, but for some reason I don't have that feeling with this post. Sorry! It seems to me that you're running out of shots and are getting back to shots that you were considering in posting several months ealier but do not fit into your daily improvement. It is kind of falling back.
I have to agree with several people on this one that the WS is the real post. The descriptive approach of the WS at least gives the approach to learn something about Morroco. The main post could be in the US, Brazil, or many other places that I have been before. There is nothing specific about Morroco. There is no message and learning about the place and about photography either. Well, maybe a little bit about photography or your PP skills because I'm sure that the original looks quite different.
It's time that you free yourself from Morroco and get to Dominican Republic. Get new inspirations there. Work on the landscape, light, colors, people ... there. Sit somewhere for a long time and observe people walking by, people interacting, talking, drinking, laughing and start after while to capture this. You will love it! Take your time and explore the early morning and late afternoon. Take the opportunity and go at least once to Distrito Colonial in Santo Domingo and don't forget about Isla Saona. I recommend you to go with your wife and son on a private boat there (leaving from Bayahibe). It's much more expensive (about US 100! Try to bargain!) but you get it calm, with serenity and get all the time to enjoy it. Walk along the shore of Isla Saona. Taking the boat to the first beach at Isla Saona might be enough. Beyond that it gets even more expensive and by walking along the shore you already get a good feeling of the place. You safe some money and you will safe time to walk, explore, photograph.

Olá José,
Eu tenho andado sem tempo (e alguma paciência) para ler todas as críticas e discussões da foto que estou comentando ou criticando (como fazia inicialmente). Mas nesta li quase tudo. Concordo que isto podia ser em várias partes do mundo, especialmente à volta do Mediterrâneo (incluindo Alentejo ou Algarve). Mas isto (foto+WS) é (ou se fosse lógico dizer assim: é também) em Marrocos, portanto está de acordo com os propósitos do TE de mostrar o mundo como ele é. Esta foto ensina-nos como é um leito seco em Marrocos (os rios secam nesse país, tipo de rochas, etc.).
Contudo, a foto de facto não é nada de especial. Mas também não é medíocre. Acho até a foto principal, mostrando pormenores, superior ao WS (e isto não é nenhum elogio forçado, pois não sou dessas coisas nem ando aqui à caça de pontos).
Concretamente o que gosto ou acho piada nesta imagem é que parece uma miniatura do Grand Canyon (ou outro desses canyons da América do Norte).
Eu não dou nem vejo os pontos que me dão (tenho o sistema desligado), mas já agora, caso os pontos fossem de 1 a 10, daria 6 ou 7 a esta.

The workshop photo shows a wilder place and an excellent perspective of the place. Good sharpness and nice warm colours to complement the image. The rock formations are very interesting and provide a good idea of the type of natural activity of the area. Nice shot Jose. Thanks :-)
