An abundance of elbow room on the road in Morocco. Somewhere in Er Rachidia. It's not the solid objects I wanted to capture here, but the space in between. Out here, it's the space that defines the way of life.

Hey Cliff. Kudos on getting such a good old time feeling to this picture. The sky is so good that part of me would like to see it in color but the rest of the shot is perfect for b/w. I never would have guessed you used this lens for this setting. I got the newer Nikon 70-300 with VR and it’s awesome. In fact I just posted picture from it recently called Lotus Flower or something like that. Awesome shot Cliff!!

Hi Cliff,
The sense of immense space is indeed captured here. I like the rugged look of the shot and your resistance to smoothing or sanitizing the terrain with a gentler look. Its rugged, its dangerous, and its tough out there. The wind, the sun, and the sand will, it seems, ultimately prevail. The monotone look adds to this mood and also impels one to think of the thousands of years that have gone by without there being significant changes here. Lawrence of Arabia would have liked this shot. Well done.

Amazing capture. The dark ochre colour mixed with the rough texture of the soil, the DOF... all incredible. And that solitary cubical shelter/house, in the middle of nowhere...Amazing...An image with very strong visual impact. Congratulations.
