[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
I have been around many oriental cities during my multiple travels abroad. Naturally the local bazaars are among my favorite hunting places. And among them the souks of Marrakech remain among the most colorful ones . I can also count Istanbul and Aleppo , perhaps Fez too, among the ones where it is a pleasure to discover scenes.

HI Izzet
Great capture of the colour and life in this souk. The exposure is very successful in the low light and there is so much to look at.
Regards, susanna

Merhaba İzzet Bey,
renkli, hareketli, nefis bir anlatım olmuş..
Sevgiler-Coşkun

Great shot Izzet. This is the one shot that I wish I came back from Marrakech with. Bright, colorful, sharp and full of life. Great composition and good timing (not having any people blocking your view). All my shots were either blurry or had people popping in front of the camera at just the right moment... :o(

...I also like your note. They are full of life and there is no where better to get the feel of the culture your visiting than in the local bazaar. I am a bazaar (or market) guy myself and so far think Marrakech and Fez are definitely my favorites. Phsar Chas, in Siem Reap, is a close third, but considering it's size, it really doesn't compare with the other two. I will be visiting Istanbul and Aleppo in the next two months so I will probably think of this note when I'm there. I am also going to compare Damascus, Khan al-Khalili in Cairo and Omdurman in Khartoum to get a real sampling of the areas markets. After that it's off to west africa to Ougoudoua (spelling?)(Cameroon), Agadez (Toureg markets in Niger), Dakar, Bamako, Timbulto, Djenne Monday market in front of the mosque, Freetown, ...and others to name a few...so I'm catching up to you!!!

Great photo
Nice work

Great 'record' shot, recording what it is like to visit this place. The array of goods is almost overwhelming, and the colour really makes this into a lively place. Nicely done!

Hi Izzet.

Excellent picture to show us how overcrowded could be the bazaars.

Obviously, the sharpness and the colours are great.

Well done!

merhaba izzet bey

Merhaba Izzet.

Markets have, always, something different and interesting and we can learn about people through the markets.
Also I think that light not was easy in this photo.

Thanks for sharing.

Olá Izzet, my last critic, before go on vacations for 6 weeks. This colorful and busy atmosphere remembers me a bit the markets of Istanbul...The vendor with the oranges makes a great impression here, although a bit closer would give a stronger impact. Love the detail of the cyclist.
Friendly regards and see you in November,
Ricardo
p.s.- the most dificult part of my trip, will be that I miss a lot my cats...they are already sad, while we pack up...

An excellent and lively 'street'shot, Izet. Beautiful light! I really like it.
Greetings, John

Merhaba İzzet Bey,
Çok renkli ve çok şey anlatan bir foto. Ellerinize sağlık.
Gamze

This is exactly how I remember these souks, even a bit idealised (why not ? a pleasure for the eyes !), thanks to the rich colours and the surprising oranges in the middle of all the other tones... So much to see in one single shot !
Congratulations,
Amitiés,
Cath.
