When we stayed at the edge of the Sahara, relatives of one of the hotel workers were camped out just behind the building. I looked out the back door and saw this juxtaposition of the tent some of them lived in, and the camels they used - and the modern truck they were also using.

Technical: Bit of cropping, and Levels to intensify the colors a little.

Like the title..you end up being a modern one, no doubt :)

Wish you had captured more of the great Sahara with caravans..surely you have more of the Sahara ???

this is a great effort.
I love those dark browns, as well as those subtle tones of yellow and brown fading away in the distance, they create an amazing depth of field annex wonderful overall atmosphere.
Ancient and Modern Nomads : you couldn't have chosen a better title!

Quite a contrast between the desert scenery and the white car with good exposure, fine sharpness and realistic colors well rendered. I wish the camel heads on the right was not be cut off, but that's not a big issue!

Hello Daniel,
Marvellous idea and fantastic realization. To go in the desert is one of my dreams... and it is not your photograph which will make me change opinion! I put it in my favourites so much I like it. Opposition of the colors of the dunes with the dromedaries and the tent in front of, the 2 small palm trees, the life of the camp site...

And I mean by that:
The interesting content and that content was captured extremely skillfully, and then comes the final finishing and presentation and all together - nothing short of perfection.
