Very cool in the heat Photo

Photographer’s Note

On my last day of a journey across the Sahara. We have entered Niger and will soon be on a proper road again. The drivers are relaxing after the ordeal of the desert. After I took some pictures of my truck and its crew this driver asked me to take his picture too. He is clearly very proud of his truck but trying hard not to be too obvious.
This is scanned from a Kodachrome slide.

Hi Gert,
Cool shot indeed. I lke the strong contrasts of slide film. Yellow track stands out in the desert. And the pose is proud. Good quality shot for such an old one.

cool photo indeed! (although I don't quite like the word "cool")
it seems to me that not only the driver is proud of the truck, but also the truck seems very proud of being its own self :))
Great yellow colour with lots of tints and shades! the photo is a bit too contrast but in my opinion, the contrast shows the heat!
