Photographer’s Note
I took a picture of this woman ,encountered in Bilma, a northern Niger oasis , inside of a very dark house of banco. She is Toubou; Toubou were nomads from Tchad who scared the locals by rapting and razzias.
They have a morphology very well adapted to the desert, not any fat people among the toubou.
The women, used to have an autonom life, their husbands were very often away for expeditions. They knew how to drive camels,I saw one of them, it's rara in this place.
During the colonisation by french people, there were many battles against touaregs and Toubous .Now,there is no problem of security, except in period of rebellion, like recently in Niger.

Hi Joel
I like your colors here in this tight portrait, I think it was even possible to crop more from top the top of her skin and from right to the red line and with a border it would give an extra to this portrait.
The colors, her gaze makes the photo and you got a good note.
Greetings

You've got a gallery plenty of beautiful portraits, but this is undoubtely one of the best, because of the color, expression and definition. It just needs a bit more of sharpen with Photoshop. Regards.
