Photographer’s Note
Boubon is a small mud hut village an hour or so outside of Niamey, the capital of Niger. It is locally famous for its pottery, such as these water containers. Market day sees the dusty street lined with literally thousands of pieces, which you can pick up for a couple of dollars. Unfortunately they are too fragile to ship long distances, ours are broke intransit.
