Photographer’s Note

Animal husbandry is a major activity in Niger because, on the one hand, it represents the second-largest export sector after uranium (it is ranked above vegetable production) and, on the other, provides the main source of income for a significant proportion of the country's population (23%).
This continues to be one of the principal activities of the country,in spite of enormous losses sustained as a result of the drought. Stock is raised on an extensive scale, the herds being constantly on the move in the Saharan and north Sahelian zones. But in the agricultural Sahelian zone, stockraising is a sedentarized activity.
The main livestock are:cattle,sheep,goats,dromedaries.

Some lovely colours and a nice big sky! I never relised Niger had places as green as this; it really does buck the stereotype image I had in my mind, so thanks for sharing!

Bellissima foto, con un paesaggio affascinante, diverso da come mi immagino l'Africa; qui ci sono tante nuvole, tanto verde e tanta acqua... bella foto di reportage.

foto bellissima. Io in Niger non ci sono mai stato, ma penso che questi scenari si possano ammirare solo in quei posti. Veramente d'effetto la striscia rossa di terra che va a contrastare con un cielo infinito.

Ciao Alberto,
J'aime ta construction avec tous ces plans horizontaux qui se succèdent et parfois se rencontrent. Peu de couleurs mais elles vont bien ensemble, j'aime particulièrement le rouge de la terre avec le gris bleuté du ciel.
L'impression d'ensemble est très paisible.

Voilà un beau paysage aux couleurs très spéciales, le contraste entre le sable rougeâtre et le ciel plombé est intéressant, les vaches ne ressortent pas tellement mais ça donne un peu de mystère à la scène. J'aime beaucoup !
