Hi Marlene,
In today's world just nobody can smile so wide and express the happiness better than the Africans.
I wonder, what the world made with us, that we can't smile so honest... Hope those children are kings or something similar now! :)

Hello Marlene,
Now you're digging yourself down to the ancient levels where I find most of my pictures ;-)
This photo has a strong meaning to me, because Zinder was my first contact with "real" Africa after crossing the Sahara. I was overwhelmed by people's relaxed friendliness and the cheerful children. It was very much the same as in this picture.
Best regards,
Gert
Hi Marlene,
A very natural shot. Quality wise I'll say it's very good & properly scanned(such an old one).

Hello Marlene,
The boy talking happily is indeed impressive, all street vendors are looking at him. This shot is very worth seeing.
Have a nice weekend, Hisashi

hello Marlene
Very nice to see your travel photo of this street shot and amazing quality preserved from 1974. The place looked quite fluent during that time, judging from the way they were dressed.
Really interesting that you have already started travel in 1974, that is 34 years ago! Just curious, was it work-related or just holiday? I can guess it will be the later, to travel through so many countries.

Hello Marlene,
such a treasure you share with us. thanks a lot. I was wondering too, but about now and then. the difference..bwtter now or better then. It is in my mind. You have travelled a lot and the worldview is so diverse. People and land, traditions and way of life. It is really good to share and improve our perspectives.
