[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Here is another shot from the women's weaving project I have a few shots of already up here. This is a second shot of another which I posted earlier called - "Hidden Stare". What ended up happening was me being drawn to these two ladies and the looks they were giving me, so I fired off two quick shots, just changed who I focused on.

The woman who is in focus in this shot was really interesting in the sens that she never really wanted to see the photo afterwards, did not seem to be either amused or distraught by the white man with a camera, almost just watching us as a distraction. Amazingly, many of the women are able to do this intricate weaving, without even looking at what they were doing.

Please do refer to my other images from the weaving project if you are interested to learn about where our donour money is going to or learn more about these amazing women.

untouched photo other than conversion to black and white along with levels.

I love the boldness of your approach and the lovely glint of determination in that one eye that looks into the camera. You've done well with the textures, tones and lights. Superb composition. Deserves all the applaud.

Hi Adam,

You captured a very nice expression with this shot, her eyes somehow telling the onlooker 'feel free, you are very welcome'...i like the DoF. A very compelling image.

Thanks for sharing...

hi,adam,very eye-catching indeed, good crop and b/w.

Great picture!
I'm reading a book called La Stratégie des Antilopes (The Strategy of Antelopes) by Jean Hatzfeld. The book describes what happened when, in 2003, the Rwandan authorities allowed some 40,000 of those who carried out the massacres to return to their homes.
Best regards!
Eva
