Very nice portrait of this little girl, Francine.
Excellent black and white tones and very well composed.The presence of the hands of the mother (or grandmother)is very functional and enforces this image.

Dear Francine...
You have posted many kids photos on TE, but this one I consider as a very special one.
It's as close to the thing called photography as possible.
Every element of this beautiful production has its honorable place in it.
There is nothing too much, there is nothing missing in it.

And the one thing that took it from the myriads of snap-fotkas - is the presence of those hands in there...
The whole rest of it just smoothly fits in the the whole.

Cette photo aurait pu être simplement "cute" mais grâce à ces mains noueuses à gauche, au fond nu et au cadrage, elle a pris une force formidable : je la trouve superbe comme ça, les détails sont aussi très fins, c'est un petit bijou...

J'aime bien la manière dont elle te regarde, l'air un peu inquiet mais tout de même avec cette curiosité que caractérise la plupart des enfants. La présence de son grand-père, suggéré simplement par ces mains ridées sur la droite est très bien vu!
