Photographer's Note

As Josep (josepmarin) reminded me today, I'm celebrating today my 10th anniversary on TE. Thanks a lot, Josep:)! It has been a great experience so far, I've seen thousands of photos you have been sharing, learnt about so many different places and known many members. I'll do my best to stay around:)!

To celebrate the date, I've chosen a photo from a trip that I really enjoyed - Senegal and Gambia.
I took this photo in a Peul village, a few kms far from Kedougou. We had spent the night there in tents, and when we got up, the kids and the women of the village came to join us. I believe it's really rare to have tourists sleeping near their houses, so the curiosity was really big. These women came to see us and brought some handicrafts they had to show us.

The Peuls ou Fulas, are one of the largest migratory ethnic groups in the world and they are spread over many African countries, such as Senegal. It was a great experience to visit many of their villages and contact with them, as they are really nice and usually welcome visitors really well.
