Photographer's Note

From Banjul, we went south to the Casamance region in Senegal.
Casamance is Senegal’s Deep South: a culturally and topographically unique part of the country with a particular proud heritage. It is cut off from northern Senegal by the Gambia.

From Elinkin, we went by the motorboat to the Carabane, an island and a village located in the extreme south-west of Senegal, in the mouth of the Casamance River.
