| The statue is of a Voortrekker, woman and her two children. They are standing at the foot of the Voortrekker monument that was errected in rememberance of the hardships experienced during the early 1800's when the Boers, farmers, trekked, travelled by ox wagon from the Cape of Good Hope into the wilderness of South AFrica and beyond. The monument is situated outside of Pretoria. |
