| Since this is a new start for me on TrekEarth I decided to post a photo taken yesterday of the jacarandas in Pretoria. The jacarandas are usually spectacular in Pretoria during October. We only have the pleasure of their beauty for little more than one month per year and I make a point of getting some photographs to remind me of them throughout the year. This year we had lots of rain in October so the jacaranda splendour is less than usual and will be over soon. This photo is just a glimpse of the jacarandas with a bit of contrast added by a bright orange tree in flower. |
