The Royal Natal National Park is a UNESCO heritage site that offers spectacular mountain ranges and historic battlefields, providing an extraordinary insight into the region’s natural beauty, cultural contrasts and colourful historic past.

It 's also the land of the Zulu, which means people of heaven, a proud nation that treasure their heritage, are friendly and hospitable.

The umbrella is used not only for the rain but also for protection from the sun as in this case.

a beautiful and sstrange portrait , as I wonder if this is a man or a woman.The red umbrella is really eye catching,and she seems to pose with it for you.Mayve I would have prefer without space above the umbrella,but anyway, this is an interesting photo.

Hello Wanda,

Nice to see you back, especially with this portrait I find interesting (sorry I have not enough vocabulary to better describe). Here, especially, it is the composition which is striking with the inclusion of the red umbrella in the almost green color shot.
I would really like to have done this shot on my own ;-)

A fine portrait, great colour scheme and classic composition. The blue pastic on the right is a bit of a pity and could have been removed or toned down in PP.

Your choice in this orientation is wise decision as focus is drawn straight to her facial feature. Excellent portrait the way she fills the frame and I like the more 'enclosed' feel afforded by the red umbrella. The clarity is delightful picking out the detail superbly and impressive with excellent sharpness and good tonal contrast. What a determined lady, her expression, intensity and emotions mean alot. Great capture of a fascinating character. My only negative comment would be that there is too much negative space above - but thats only my opinion. Great capture and TFS
