Photographer’s Note
This is a 'rickshaw' or to give it its local Sudanese name, a 'bajaj'.
If you don't own a car in Khartoum there are three ways to get round; yellow taxi, ex-Japanese bus and bajaj. You can find them on every street and hail them down - the trick is to remember to negotiate the price before starting the journey.
I took this picture for a friend; this is his good friend who has lived in Jebel Aulia for over 8 years. They are both from Southern Sudan, near the Ugandan border.
I should add when we all went to church we got three adults and 3 children in!
