Photographer’s Note

This Nuba woman had been collecting wood in the fields next to the river nile.
I used a slihgtly different method of framing by going horizontal and as i was close i like the way it worked

A very beautiful portrait of a very beautiful looking person - nice lighting and DOF and I'm not bothered in the slightest by this strong central framing which suits your subject so well - nice image - nice colour - good light.

Wow - what a beauti-queen and this light is nothing less than amazing!!! Very good use of dof and I realy like how the blurred colours is matching the colours of your model.

Magic light here, that together with such a nice, angel face creates a wonderful portrait. I also like the background so out of focus and with an ensemble of soft colors, what allow us to concentrate our regard in the woman and her eyes.

It's one of those cases when the rule of thirds goes out of the window, and to be honest, who cares. It's a fantastic portrait, and I think it works because of the shape of the woman's head-dress leading out towards the bottom corners. The picture has beautiful lighting and colours - the colours of the background complimenting the skin tones. The expression you have managed to capture on her face is also superb, the way she is looking directly at you, with just the faintest hint of a smile. If this is anything to go by, I can't wait to see more of your photos from the Horn.

I love your portrait ands the way you have used the naturel colours and light.
Perhaps it would be even better if you had placed the woman more to one side of the picture and less central. But it is realy beautiful...!With the blurred background.
