Photographer’s Note

When you are up there, at the highest point of África (5985 meters), no matter how tired you are, from there you are able to observe the curvature of earth in the shape of the horizon, and you discover that lot of snow is left at the summit of Kilimanjaro. There are huge glaciers all over the crater, the very same that the biggest scientists based in London, back in the XIX century, denied because it was impossible to have snow so near the equator line. Thankfully there were adventure people that decided to explore the world instead of make ironic remarks from a comfortable chair. That´s why I celebrate the adventurer spirits of those who want to go a step further.
I posted this photo today, at this hour, becuase exactely one month ago I was at the top of África, in Uhuru peak, on the crater of Kilimanjaro, fighting with my frozen camera upthere (I got some problems with the autofocus) doing this photo among others.
I dont know how much I´ve learnt from this experience, probably I am not a better or a worst person, that´s for sure, but dear fellows of TE, how can I explain it: Once I was the tallest man in Africa, and believe or not, that´s cool.

PS: In the workshop you will find the moment of celebration.
