For those of you who has followed my safari series, I like to take us back to that part of the splendid continent for some more of the amazing wildlife, landscape and its people.

This one is of Flamingo in Lake Magadi, a salt lake on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. The way they moved like they were dancing.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 square kilometres with sides up to 600m deep, the stalking ground of around 20,000 to 30,000 wild animals at any one time.

The crater floor consists of a number of ecological environments that include grassland, swamps, forests and Lake Makat, a central soda lake filled by the Munge river. All these various habitats attract various wildlife to drink, wallow, graze, hide or climb. Although animals are free to move in and out of this contained environment, the rich volcanic soil, lush forests and spring source lakes on the crater floor tend to incline both grazers and predators to remain here throughout the year.

Hello Way,

Adorable scene! Great composition and balance; I like the reflections on the water—appropriate title by the way.
Thanks for the informative note

Regards from Miami,

Maryori

Hello Way, you are almost beside me, what a strange thing as I had the urge tonight to finally show some red stone before you don't like me anymore and think that I was never there and only write about it :) But now I want to speak about your photo: This is just so beautiful and mother nature has things for us ready, just incredible, and I feel spoilt just by looking! I like the soft glow on the lake and that you have some birds in the foreground with the water reflecting and that you leave the rest behind in a blur letting us dream ... about Africa ... and all the adventures we have seen and I think of Meryll Streep and Robert Redford. Excellent! Regards ... Barbara.

Hello Way,

spectacular scene from Tanzania with a perfect composition and fine colors. The reflections in the water are amazing.Very wll done.

With regards from Luxembourg

Hello Way,
I imagine it is very impressive to be in front of these wonderful birds. I like the way you caught the departure of some of them, while the other ones, at the foreground go on walking quietly on their way. Their reflections are very nice.
Cheers,
Marianne

Hello Way,
Interesting composition to show the lake cover by birds, I think this lake is rich with fishes and nice to see birds looking for their meals, good reflections, thanks for sharing.

Hello Way
Hope your well that end of the world.......... Stunning nature shot, really is a African documentry capture here. The reflections and exposures look tops here, and I really like the soft background. The cropping suits this frame, well captured Way
Regards
Jim

Hello Way,

A nice depth created here! I like the first line of birds with their reflection. The colony in the distance perhaps a bit too light, but a pleasantly blurred background. Tanzania. Also on my list of photography destinations. Nice.

Greetings,
Dennis

hello way

a beautiful scene, but way too small in the TE size to be really appreciated: flamingoes kind of get 'mushed together' in the far-out plane.

kind regards,
kristaps

Ciao Way,
what a wonderful place!
You gives it a touch of surreal...
Very nice shot, good work.

Hi Way, Splendid view of the flamingoes. I like the composition with the several lines. Beautiful reflections. Good worhk, TFS

Hello Way,
1. the front row, flamingos are so clear..beautiful sharpness there.. while the back is vague and blurry which really makes a viewer to focus on the front row flamingos, their reflections and their balance/distribution of their position.
2. perfect timing to capture at least 6 flamingos flying in front of the trees in the background.

Hi Way. Great photo. Excellent selective focus to concentrate our attention on the FG birds and combine the BG birds into a solid mass to accentuate their numbers. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.

Hello Way!
A really nice new picture in your Tanzania gallery. The scene is amazing, I´ve never seen anything like this before [except on some photos :-)], but it should be great so see such a wonderful animal scene.
The colors are great and make a magnificent contrast to each other and I like the sharpness a lot. I can´t see anything to improve here, well done!

Great photos of the wild life, Way. Your last post is funny and a very good capture, better than this one, I guess. But this one fascinates me more and also made me nostalgic...I did visit the remote Lake Bogoria in Kenya and had one of the most amazing 24h experience sleeping near by these pink fellows and whatched the baboons hunting them at sunrise. What we don't "see" here are the noises. This is really beautiful and the panoramic format fits perfectly here. The left bottom corner with the closer reflections is fantastic and now I'm thinking of a closer approach of that part.

Hello Way Ne Lim:

These Africans are simply spectacular landscapes, filled with deep colors, nature.

Balanced frame and a proper handling of enlightenment. Birds offer great warmth and dynamism to the scene, no doubt.

John

Hello my older friend!
Wow your pictures are just great, you´re a great photographer!! Your eye in seeing things is just amazing!
The picture is very clear and well composed. Perfect sharpness and great colors!
Bravo,

Hello Way,
beautiful picture full of great atmosphere and poetry. The blurred bg emphasize even more the beauty of the compo with the flamingos and their reflections making the picture simply beautiful to look at. A fine work indeed! My compliments.

Hi Way!
This is really a scene of this region! I like it, especially these flamingos in foreground and their good reflection on the water. Very good format and colours!

Hi Way,

Nice and interesting! An image that could be turned into an inspirational poster. Nature is truly beautiful and you managed to capture its beauty very well with this picture. The panoramic format is helpful to show us a wide view of this setting. The colours provide a more pleasant and natural look as well. Nicely composed and very well thought composition. Thanks Way.

Hi Way,
I have always found flamingo's such fascinating birds, they are just so odd. I love the bright white strip of the group of them congregated at the back against the green, and then you have these wonderful few specimens out in the front with their nice reflections and beautiful pink legs. Great!

Wanda
