Photographer’s Note

L'homme dans sa barque revenait de la pêche.
Il n'avait que quelques sardines et deux ou trois calamars.
Il était loin des pêches miraculeuses, des parties de plaisir et du récit des anciens.

Pourtant, elles étaient chaque fois plus nombreuses à attendre. Des jours entiers sur le sable brulant.
Il n'avait rien à vendre. Encore moins à donner.
Il n'osait plus approcher du rivage.

Depuis que des gros chalutiers étrangers écumaient l'horizon, il savait que plus rien ne serait comme avant.
Il fallait se reconvertir.
Emporter les touristes en promenade.
Ou devenir pirate.

The man in his boat returned from fishing.
He had only some sardines and two or three squids.
He was far from miraculous fishings, parts of pleasure and the stories of older.

However, they were each more to wait.
Whole days on extreme sand.
He had nothing to sell. Even less to give.
He dared more to approach the shore.

Since large foreign trawlers foamed horizon, he knew that nothing any more would be like before.

It was necessary to be reconverted.

An interesting view, very human. Good natural and clear colours and the harsh sunshine well managed. Maybe I would have cropped somewhat more of the bright sand at the bottom?

at first i thought that it was taken in India.. the women and their colorful clothes and the beach made me think like this.. loved the sharpness and the layers here.. and the people are doing the same thing looking at the sea.. it creates a nice view..

Hello Bertrand,

Effectivement, l'attente semble être de mise sur cette plage. J'aime beaucoup la composition par tranche qui sépare les différentes couleurs du sol et de l'eau. J'aime également ces couleurs très naturelles et par endroit très vives.
De plus, cette fois, il y a un poème...

Une lumière parfaitement gérée.

ta réflexion dans la note colle parfaitement à l'image de ces femmes, nombreuses, qui attendent le retour du pêcheur et de sa maigre pêche.
Les ressources, à travers la planète (cf. l'actualité des marins-pêcheurs en France) s'amenuisent et il faut réguler leur exploitation.
Une image bien composée et éclairée.

Bonjour Bertrand,

Tres photos de Zanzibar sont un regal pour les yeux. Je ne me lasse pas de voir le rendu coloré de la mer, en contraste avec le sable tres blanc.
Pour la composition, je suis un peu de l avis de Pauloog de couper un peu le sable sous les pieds de la premiere femme.
Ta note n est pas tres gaie, mais reflete malheureusement une triste realité.

Quell captage, ce dame qui viennent chercher ke poissons, pour autant qu'il y en reste, avec leur pêche industrielle ils mettent en difficultés ces populations, c'est un vrai sacandal.
Ton captage est coloré, merveilleux et triste en même temps.

C'est une trés belle scéne de retour de pêche.

Je suis toujours trés étonnée par la couleur émeraude pâle de l'océan que l'on voit sur les photos prises à Zanzibar ... et la lumière elle même, sur le sable et les murs, a quelque chose de délavée, comme un pastel terni. C'est très étrange, j'aimerais voir cela de visu.

Je ne sais rien de la vie sociale là-bas. Beaucoup de pauvreté, et du piratage ? encore une belle photo témoignage de toi.

This is a picture with yet another dimension, with a story behind... There are several distinct layers and fields here; the dark water, the boat, the women and the sand. All of these layers are very sharp and of very good colours. Truly an excellent photo!

A chaque fois que je viens sur ta galerie, c'est pour découvrir une photo encore plus belle que les précédentes, bravo!
C'est magnifique de voir toutes ces femmes, alignées le long de la plage, avec leurs vêtements hautement colorés, leurs grands seaux... ta note, très poétique, nous rappelle cependant à la réalité.
La vie n'est pas facile pour ces gens, même s'ils nous offrent ici un beau spectacle.

Décidément tes photos de Zanzibar sont plus belles les unes que les autres!
La couleur de la mer est une fois encore un fantastique révélateur des couleurs des robes des femmes.
Malheureusement, ton texte (superbe comme toujours) est beaucoup moins paradisiaque que l'image et dénonce une réalité dramatique pour beaucoup de gens.

Excellent illustration to this sad story. One of the sad story of our time. How can there be peace if we don’t take care that these poor people can earn a proper living.

Bonjour, Bertrand. Un texte qui colle bien à l'actualité. Et une photo qui prouve encore si nécessaire que tu as vraiment l'oeil pour cadrer tes photos. D'abord, j'aime beaucoup ces tranches de vert qui sont superbes. Ensuite, le contraste entre les vêtements colorés des femmes et le sable est très réussi. La barque forme une autre ligne horizontale qui structure bien la photo. Une très belle réussite.
