Photographer’s Note

After substantial preparation to construct the platform - built on a slope - the Antonine baths were erected during the reign of Caracalla 211 - 217 AD. This is the view of the frigidarium, and beyond the Capital. Unlike hammams in Arab-Moslem cities, devoted exclusively to matters of hygiene, the Roman baths were the focus for a multitude of activities. These included conversation, reading, exercise, meditation and excitement.

Hi Ken,
Good composition and perspective, shooting the picture through the central arch nicely frames the courtyard and ruins in the background. Good light & you've managed to capture the colours and textures of the stones.
