Photographer’s Note

As a seismic explorationists, we have a proper base camp in the desert, some 30 km from Douz. There are around 200 people in there, working 12 hours every day in the scorching heat of Sahara.

Evenings, however are pleasant, and the labourers, most of them without access to Internet, climb on this water cistern, which is close to the camp and is used for watering herds of goats and sheeps. On the top is one of the few places, where there is mobile telephone signal...

There they find peace, serenity and relaxation...
